Dog Park Rules

Katy Dog ParkOpened In March 2007, this new off-the-leash park for dogs of all sizes is open 7 days week from dawn to dusk and is one of the city’s most popular attractions. These 14 acres offer lots of grass and trees with an oval walking path  with a distance of 1,723 feet, park specific wading pool for dogs, custom dog showers and fountains accessible for both the four legged friend and their owners.   The park also hosts many pet friendly events throughout the year such as our annual HOWL-o-WEEN event and PAWS in the Park Easter Egg Hunt.
1. Dog Park hours are from dawn to dusk, unless otherwise posted
2. Owners are liable for damage or injury inflicted by their dog(s).  Owners are legally and financially responsible for their dog’s    behavior.  The City of Katy has no liability or responsibility for injures in the dog park.
3. Limit of three dogs per visit.
4. Dogs must be properly licensed and vaccinated.
5. Dogs must be leashed before entering and upon leaving the park and must be leashed in the transition corridor.  Owner must have a visible leash at all times.
6. Owners must clean up and properly dispose of any waste left by their dog.
7. Dogs with known history of dangerous behavior are prohibited.
8. No dog may be left unattended for any amount of time.
9. No puppies under 4 months of age are allowed in the park.
10. No Female dogs in heat are allowed in the park.
11 No children under the age of 10 are allowed in the park.  Children ages 10 through 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
12. No food allowed in the Park.
13. Violation of City Ordinance Number 2322 results in fines and no further use of the Dog Park.
